This is a most unusual and very rare antique early Victorian ring, which would make an enchantingly unique engagement ring, or anniversary gift. Circa 1850's and in great condition with a super patina, the entirely hand-cut Diamonds have the most magnetic individuality, being very early single-cut brilliant, which were simply cut in sympathy with the natural pyramid shape of the natural Diamond crystals, and centuries later their mesmerising sparkle and shape can still be enjoyed from every angle as you turn your hand. Magic! The original setting is silver, with 18ct yellow gold to the underbezel and band, highlighted by delightful hand pierced scrollwork in the shape of delicate ferns to the shoulders and gallery. The Diamond weight is approximately 0.60ct.
